The Walden Suite Guest House in Fresnaye, is
probably "The" prime example of getting
the wrong operation to sand ones floors.
They contracted a prominent Architectural firm
in Cape Town to oversee their alterations, who in
turn contracted a prominent "Floor Sanding
Firm" to sand the floors. The result was -
well the pictures say a thousand words.
Floor Sanding is a specialized field of craftsmanship.
We don't claim to be the best there is out there,
but!
All the edges were like this. Obviously that's not how they are now
that we've worked there. |

Nothing worse than conventional wood filler. |

Mr. Burmeister did have one complaint - too shiny - But then he did
ask us for gloss! Eggshell finish can be applied on top of this. His
wife loved the gloss finish and as usual, women get what they want. he
